Private Alpaca Walk
Take our two beautiful alpacas, Teddy and Basil, for a half hour leisurely stroll around their ancient orchard home. This is a totally private experience for just you two (walks are led by a member of the Huckleberry Woods team).
Includes entry to Huckleberry Woods micro animal adventures for two people for up to two hours. You’ll have the whole orchard to yourselves during your walk, with plenty of photo opportunities and hand-feeding stops. You can stop to greet the micro pigs, miniature donkeys, Teddy Bear sheep, ducks and chickens as you go.
You’ll be accompanied on your walk by a Huckleberry Woods alpaca handler who will be very happy to tell you all about these beautiful, gentle creatures and answer any questions. Private alpaca strolls take place at 10am every day.

This experience is enjoyable for two adults or sensible children over 9 years of age.
(Younger children aren’t able to accompany the alpacas on their walk. If you have a child younger than 9 years old in your party you will have to bring another adult with you to supervise the child while the alpaca walk is taking place. Children younger than 9 will not be permitted to accompany you on the alpaca walk. It is not possible to walk the alpacas and carry a child at the same time).
This experience is unsuitable for anyone who is unsteady on their feet.

Your friends and family are welcome to visit Huckleberry Woods while you’re walking your alpacas. They’ll need a spectator or entry ticket to watch your experience from a short distance.

Your private alpaca experience will last around 30 minutes. All alpaca walks take place at 10am before other guests arrive. You’re welcome to stay for the rest of the morning session to mingle with our other animals in the orchard.

There are friendly, free ranging animals wandering around the orchard. Do be prepared for them to get up close.
Huckleberry Woods is not a gravel pathway, chemical weed killer type of place – it’s wild and back to nature. It’s located in a small private orchard and is charming and understated rather than large, slick and commercial. It’s not the sort of place where you rush between loads of animal enclosures, vending machines and other distractions. A visit here offers an hour or two of peace and serenity. Time to relax. Time to ‘be’ not just ‘do’ and time to reconnect with nature. Please consider whether this type of relaxing experience is your cup of tea before booking. The experience is totally outside. Huckleberry Woods is a Covid secure venue.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR CLOSED TOED FOOTWEAR FOR YOUR VISIT (NO FLIP FLOPS OR SANDALS). You won’t be able to come in with open toed footwear. This is for your safety.
